The cottages have a charming, traditional thatched roof and are spacious and well-constructed, with ample room for relaxation. the owner is accommodating and quick to address any maintenance issues. the location is excellent, with a short drive to Killarney town and easy access to attractions like Muckross House and the National Park. the presence of an open fire adds to the cozy atmosphere, and pets are allowed. the cottages are clean, comfortable, and offer good amenities.
Felt like being at home, no complaints whatsoever.

Great house very clean. The fact that there is a really good pub restaurant on site is fantastic. Great staff great food at reasonable prices. Just a really good place to stay
The only gripe is that the cooking equipment is not great. I don't think taht a nonstick frying pan would break the bank but for my next trip I will bring our own pan. Cooker is electric which I am not crazy about, also bit dangerous with kids.

We had a wonderful stay at Old Killarney Cottages! Our cottage was spacious, well-equipped, and conveniently located near shops and attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The washer and dishwasher were a bonus. The staff at the on-site pub were friendly, and the food was delicious. Great value for families!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Space, peace and Quiet.Yet only 5 min.from town.Ideal for us as we had one elderly person in our group who is not too good with stairs having 2 bedrooms at ground level was a major plus.Walk in shower also was great for elderly group member.
Kids 'playground' was unsafe and most if not all equipment in need of major repair/refurbishment.Didn't have great Tv.reception not a major problem as we didn't switch on too much anyway.

The cottage was spacious and well-equipped with comfortable beds and clean linens. The location was convenient for visiting local attractions. The internet connection was reliable and there was plenty of outdoor space for children to play. Nearby pub served food and drinks late.

We had plenty of space for all of us (3 adults and 2 children) and a safe place for the children to run. It was a great central location to do day trips. We loved the ability to have a fire and play games with the kids at night with much more space than a hotel room.
The cottages were definitely cottages--not deluxe, but a good price and a good location to travel to Killarney, Ring of Kerry, and Blarney Stone. As a tip for others: you only have one bath towel per bathroom (3 towels). The cottages were to accomodate 8 people & expected at least 8 towels, you have to pay more to get more. The beds were small & uncomfortable. The playground for the children was in fair condition. But nice lawns & space to run.

The location was good 5min drive to centre of Killarney. The grounds around the cottagea and setting was beautiful
There was a very musty smell in the cottage when we arrive.A Spray of air freshener after cleaning or before arrival would be a good idea.the cottagea are a bit grubby the living room couch was dirty.I Wiuld say these cottages were 4 star whwen they were first built but they have not been well maintained and now I would say 3 star at most.

These thatched cottages are beautiful. Facilities are second to none and the location is really handy for all areas in south west Ireland. Beds comfortable and open fire great.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottages! The spacious accommodation comfortably fit our group, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. The location, although a bit far from the city center, provided a peaceful village atmosphere and plenty of green space. Our host was accommodating and provided great recommendations for exploring the Ring of Kerry. We will definitely be back!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Great quiet location, beautiful thatched cottage. Fantastic region for walking, either in Killarney National Park or in the mountains.
The only things we didn't like were very minor, like only 3 bath towels supplied when the booking was for 4 people, and only 2 dishwasher tablets supplied when we were staying for 4 nights. Both these issues were resolved promptly and efficiently, but it would be better simply to supply them in the first place.

I loved the look and comfort of this little village of cottages. Close to Kilarney but we had peace and quiet. There was a pub onsite for wonderful conversation or a quick meal if you chose not to cook. Plenty of room with 3 bathrooms and everything we needed in the kitchen.
I am older and not as active so I was quite chilly in the evenings.
